RCMP hunt for pair wanted in string of armed robberies in Fort McMurray

FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. — Police in Fort McMurray, Alta. are investigating a string of Saturday-morning armed robberies they say were committed by a man and a woman who are still at large.

FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. — Police in Fort McMurray, Alta. are investigating a string of Saturday-morning armed robberies they say were committed by a man and a woman who are still at large.

RCMP issued a news release saying the first robbery was at a Shell gas station where a man and woman allegedly entered the store, brandished a gun and demanded money.

Police say there were three more robberies after that which they describe as carjackings.

No one was injured.

Investigators believe all four robberies were committed by the same pair -- a six-foot-tall white man in his early 30s, weighing approximately 230 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, and a five-foot-tall white woman also in her mid-30s weighing approximately 110 pounds with red hair that is shaved on one side.

Police say they're also looking for a stolen 2022 Toyota Corolla and a stolen 2013 Ford Escape which the suspects my be driving.

Anyone who spots the suspects is warned not to approach them and to call police.
