The Richmond Art Gallery is inviting Richmondites to pick up a pencil and maybe a glass of wine for a drink-and-draw event Friday.
The evening begins with a live drawing demonstration with artist Sandeep Johal, inspired by the Pierre Vassura exhibit on display in the gallery. After that, there will be open drawing time where you can sketch, colour, drink and chat with others.
DJ Shamik will provide music for the evening.
If you fancy taking a break from your artwork, short tours of the Vassura exhibit will happen throughout the night.
Admission and drawing supplies are free, but you’ll have to pay for your drinks at the cash bar. The Eventbrite tickets have sold out but the gallery says there are frequent no-shows to free events like this, and showing up early could get you a last-minute seat.
