VIDEO: Prince George business faced with significant damage after suspect drops through roof, steals money

Butterfly Boutique told police of the 3 a.m. incident

Butterfly Boutique was the subject of a break-in robbery early this morning (Dec. 2).

According to store co-owner Jacquie Clark, she and her business partner received a security alert around 3 a.m. and found a hole in the roof of the downtown Prince George business.

She says police were notified of the incident at their business at 555 George St.

In security camera footage provided to PrinceGeorgeMatters, the male suspect appears to drop from the hole in the ceiling, walk over to the cash register, take money from inside the till and walk towards the back door.

The result is a significant cost to repair the damage.

Visitors also stopped in to console Clark as Butterfly Boutique plans to stay open for the time being.

On its Facebook page, Butterfly Boutique is asking anyone who recognizes the suspect to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
