Prince George's COVID-19 caseload remains stable.
That's according to the latest Geographic Distribution of COVID-19 by Local Health Area of Case Residence released by the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), which shows the northern capital's region recorded 33 cases from March 7 to 13, 2021.
Peace River North tallied 27 cases during the same time period, while Peace River South saw one less at 26.
Prince Rupert continues to be the largest concern in the north, having recorded 117 cases during one week.
As of this publication (March 19), Northern Health has a recorded total of 5,361 cases since March 14, 2021.
There are 321 active cases with 32 people currently hospitalized, 14 of which are in critical care or ICU.

Northern Health's school-exposure section explains the following:
- Contact tracing is initiated to determine how the individual was infected and who they were in close contact with
- We identify and notify close contacts who may be at an increased risk, and advise them to self-isolate and monitor for symptoms for 14 days
- Only Public Health can determine who is a close contact
- Learning groups, friends or other connections may not be determined to be a close contact
- Public Health staff works closely with the school and school district throughout the case and contact management process to maintain close communication with the school community
