Dear Editor,
Every year for the past many many years on Canada Day, my wife and I drive around our neighbourhood and downtown Richmond.
I can count with my one small five-fingered hand the number of red maple leaf flags flying or being displayed on houses and businesses. How sad and disheartening.
It’s Canada’s birthday! The best country in the world. The country that has taken care of, looked after and given you so much, and keeps on doing so.
Show some pride, some appreciation, some allegiance. And show the colours!
We just wished we had seen more red maple leaves flying.
