Just a note of congratulations to the Richmond Women’s Resource Centre for a great International Women’s Day event Saturday, March 4. A full house for their dim sum at Continental Seafoods No. 5 and Cambie. Good response to the silent and live auctions, too. City councillor Carol Day was a wonderful MC and live auction presenter. Senator Mobina Jaffer shone as keynote speaker. Congrats and greetings were given from MLA Linda Reid, MLA Teresa Wat, MP Alice Wong and Richmond Mayor Malcolm Brodie. Councillor Chak Au also attended.
Again, congrats on a well-done IWD event and thanks to the RWRC Board, staff and volunteers for all your hard work putting it together. Hope the RWRC’s 31st year is full of good things for you and the women of Richmond.
