Starting July 1, the public is encouraged to provide feedback to the City of Richmond on concept options for the future renewal of the Steveston Community Park Playground.

Two concept plans will be displayed at a drop-in style open house on Friday, July 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. as part of the Steveston Salmon Festival. The open house tents will be located beside the playground that is located on the west side of the Steveston Community Centre, at 4111 Moncton Street. Those attending the open house are encouraged to talk with city park planners, review the concept plans and project display boards and complete the survey. There will also be activities for children to share their ideas about what they would like to see in the future playground.

From July 1 through July 17 at midnight, the public can also visit LetsTalkRichmond.ca to find up-to-date information, view the display boards and complete an online version of the survey.

Information gathered via the website and during the July 1 open house will inform the development of a preferred concept plan that will be presented to city council for approval.

For more information, call the city’s park department at 604-244-1208 or visit Richmond.ca/parksprojects.
