Gree, a famous Chinese air conditioner brand, opened its first Western Canadian Gree Product Experience Centre in Richmond last week.
The brand focuses on the development of new technology which consumes less energy and is more eco-friendly. According to Gree’s website, the air condition or heat pump water heater can realized both high heating and efficiency at the same time.
Gree is now the world's largest specialized air conditioner company integrating research and development, manufacturing, sales and service.
“As the largest air conditioning manufacturer in the world, Gree has complete product line-up for the North American market, with excellent performance and reliable quality,” said Jun Oyang, vice general manager from Gree Overseas.
Richmond councillor Bill McNulty attended the centre’s grand opening on Jan. 16 at 20800 Westminster Hwy.
“The economic development in the west of Canada and the population growth are rapid,” McNulty said in a press release, also stating that he supported Gree’s arrival in Richmond.
“The quantity of newly established houses is unprecedentedly high, and the air conditioner is the standard configuration for the new houses.”
