The money was raised throughout the five weeks of the Steveston World Cup Village festival, thanks to donations and raffles.

The funds will go towards improving wheelchair accessibility at the Steveston Park’s playground.

During the festival, 32 Steveston businesses and organizations adopted a World Cup of soccer competing country and festooned their premises in its colours and traditions during the tournament’s 32-day duration.
