Police in Surrey hope people recognize this man

Police are releasing photographs of a suspect after a possible shooting in Surrey.

At 2 a.m. on Feb. 18, police were called to the 13300-block of 89a Avenue for reports of shots fired. 

When officers attended they patrolled the area but did not locate any suspicious activity. 

Then at 11:30 a.m., Surrey RCMP received a report of damage to a residence, this time on 88 Avenue. 

"Upon arrival, officers located evidence consistent with shots fired," says Cpl. James Mason. "No injuries were reported.”

Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit took over the file and is sharing images of a suspect hoping someone knows who he is. 

Police describe the man as South Asian with a medium build. He had black shaggy hair and a black-trimmed beard. He was wearing a long-sleeve sweatshirt, and jogging pants and was wearing a backpack with reflective stripes.
