The 2018 Juno Awards are coming to town this week and Richmond will get a taste of the celebrations with the YVR Welcome Series.
It’s the first time in nine years that the Canadian music awards show has been hosted in B.C. and the celebrations will last for more than just one night. From March 21 to 24, travellers will be greeted by intimate pop up performances from 24 emerging B.C. artists at both the domestic arrivals and the Spirit of Haida Gwaii: The Jade Canoe. A welcome ceremony and blessing will kick the event off at the jade canoe at 3:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
