A whole host of Halloween-themed events are planned for Richmond this weekend and for the big boo! day itself on Monday, Oct. 31:
1. FantaBoolous Halloween at the mall:
On Sunday, Oct. 30, Aberdeen Centre is hosting a FantaBoolous Halloween with a haunted atrium from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Children aged 12 and under will be treated with endless fun with mini games, balloons, face painting and free, Halloween-themed shows. The centre will also be hosting a trick-or-treat event on Oct. 31 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
2. Halloween Movie Night:
The City Centre Community Centre, on Minoru Boulevard, is hosting a free Halloween Movie Night on Oct. 31 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Watch the family-friendly movie ParaNorman on a big projection screen while nibbling on treats and popcorn.
3. Halloween fireworks displays all over Richmond:
Halloween Fireworks Festival, Minoru Park, 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. with music, dance demonstrations, entertainers, children’s activities, inflatable corn maze, trick-or-treating, fire juggling and a fireworks finale at 8:30 p.m.;
Hugh Boyd Park (West Richmond Community Centre) at 8:15 p.m.; McLean Park (Hamilton) at 8 p.m.; South Arm Park at 8:30 p.m.
