Laura Thomas, organizer of the Junior Authors Writers Conference, has announced that one more scholarship is still available, due to the support of conference sponsors.
Applicants have until Monday, Oct. 14 to apply.
The conference, the first of its kind, will be held at the Richmond Sandman Signature Hotel & Resort on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
It provides a unique opportunity for youth, ages nine-21, to hear guest speakers, participate in workshops and be inspired by other like-minded young writers.
Regular tickets are $89, $79 sibling rate. The price includes six workshops, a morning and afternoon snack, lunch, a goody bag and door prizes. Parents will also have the opportunity to participate in a parent workshop from 4:45-5:15 p.m.
