Jaden Bourne helped the Richmond Roadrunners earn a berth in the Midget A2 provincial championships last season. He was selected 32nd overall by Nanaimo in Saturday's B.c. Junior "A" Lacrosse League Midget Draft.

Another member of a Richmond family could be taking his athletic career to Nanaimo.

Jaden Bourne was selected 32nd overall by the Timbermen in Saturday’s B.C. Junior “A” Lacrosse League Midget Draft. His older brother Josh is already a member of the B.C. Hockey League’s Nanaimo Clippers.

Jaden enjoyed an outstanding season with the Richmond Roadrunners — leading to the team to a berth in the Midget A2 Provincial Championships where he earned all-star honours.

He was also a frequent call-up for the Roadrunners Junior “B” Tier One squad where he played alongside Josh who served as the team captain.

The Midget Draft is for players who played in associations not affiliated with teams in the junior “A” league.
