Caleb Clarke (centre) celebrates one of his three goals with teammates Jordan Saran and Sean Einarsson in UBC's 4-1 win at Calgary on Sunday. The Richmond native leads the conference in scoring.

A hat trick performance from Caleb Clarke has earned him Can West Star of the Week honours.

The Richmond forward scored in the 23rd, 77th and 84th minutes in the UBC Thunderbirds’ 4-1 win over the Calgary Dinosaurs on Sunday.

The former Vancouver Whitecap also found the back of the net a day earlier in a 3-0 triumph over Saskatchewan as the No. 5 nationally ranked T-Birds completed a two game road sweep.

Clarke now leads the Canada West Conference in goals (five) and total points with eight.

The Richmond flavour also included goalkeeper Jason Roberts earned both victories while Rylan Sangha chipped in with a pair of assists.

UBC returns home this weekend to put its unbeaten (5-0-1) conference record on the line when Mt. Royal visits on Friday (5 p.m.) and MacEwan on Saturday (7:30 p.m.).

The men’s soccer U Sports season will culminate with UBC hosting the national championships — Nov. 8-11.
