Richmond club captures two City Boxing titles

Big night for Pack of Wild Dogs Combat Club at Combsport card in Langley

Richmond’s Pack of Wild Dogs Combat Club continues to thrive in the boxing ring.

On Friday night at the Cascades Casino in Langley, reigning Combsport Amateur City Boxing lightweight champion Elroy Furto won a dominating five round decision over Sugar Ray-India champion Gowtham Mohan. That puts Furto in line to fight for the B.C. Championship in January.

That wasn’t the only victory for local talent on the card.

Miguel Sublay won the featherweight division City Championship in the semi-main event by also not losing a round against Savard Boxing’s Farhaan Suhail. The dominating performance also earned Sublay “fight of the night” honours.

Now with two champions at the club, and four others in the 130-135-pound class wanting those same titles, sparring days have become very intriguing at P.O.W.D.

The club features two super-sized MMA/boxing rings and takes pride in building champions from the “ground up.”.

POWD Combat Club is located at #110—6191 Westminster Highway. For more information visit powd.ca.
