The Richmond Raiders are the class of the Vancouver Mainland Football League’s 9-Man Junior Bantam Division thus far.

Richmond improved to 3-0 on the season with 33-22 win over the GSL Storm on a rainy Sunday afternoon at Minoru Park. The result came two weeks after the Raiders pulled out a 22-20 road victory against the Storm. 

The season began with a 51-27 triumph over the Royal City Hyacks. The boys will look to keep the momentum going with a trip to Vancouver this weekend to take on the Westside Warriors.The Raiders will then conclude regular season play with three straight games at Minoru.

It was also a successful Sunday for the Raiders 9-man Pee Wee team, rolling to a 37-6 win over the Langley Cowboys to improve to 2-2 on the season. 

In 9-man Bantam Division play, Richmond sits 1-2-1 after battling Langley to a 14-14 tie at Minoru. The hosts were coming off a 26-0 victory over Westside the previous week.

In 9-Man Midget Division action, the Raiders notched their first win of the year, getting past the White Rock/South Surrey Titans 24-16.

Rounding out a busy Sunday at Minoru was the 9-Man Atom Raiders dropping a 21-13 decision to White Rock/South Surrey to fall to 2-2 on the campaign.
