Dynamo Fencing dominates Canada Cup

Host club thrives at Richmond Olympic Oval winning 24 medals

Host Dynamo Fencing proved to be a major force at Canadian Fencing Federation’s Canada Cup 1 2019, held last weekend at the Richmond Olympic Oval.

With over 350 fencers competing, Dynamo enjoyed its best showing yet, winning medals in all three disciplines — highlighted by a gold medal sweep of the men’s epee from Y15 to veteran. In total, the club 24 medals to easily top the team standings.

The winners included:

Gold Medal

Nicholas Zhang (U15 Men’s Foil), Nicholas Zhang (U15 Men’s Epee), Linda Li (U15 Women’s Epee), Derek Rong (Cadet Men’s Epee), Howard Zhao (Junior Men’s Epee), Howard Zhao  (Senior Men’s Epee), Bela Suveg (Veteran Men’s Epee), Jack Pan (Cadet Men’s Sabre).

Silver Medal

Christina Zozulya (Junior Women’s Epee), Fynn Fafard (Junior Men’s Epee), Giorgio Gradassi - (Senior Men’s Sabre), Angelica Sun (U15 Women’s Epee), Angelica Sun (Cadet Women’s Epee).

Bronze Medal
