Richmond Colts' Jason Zhong and MacNeill Ravens' Hudson Swaim could be seeing each other again at the Richmond Olympic Oval next week if their respective teams win Lower Mainland AAA quarter-final games on Wednesday.

Are the two city finalists destined for a rematch at the Richmond Olympic Oval with a provincial tournament berth on the line? It could very well happen if the draw unfolds accordingly at the Lower Mainland AAA Boys Basketball Championships.

Fresh off their big win on Friday night, the Richmond Colts have earned the No. 2 seed for the 12-team event which starts on Tuesday. The Colts will host the winner of  No. 7 Lord Byng/No. 10 McMath on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

City runner-up MacNeill is seeded No. 3 and will welcome No. 6 Magee or No. 11 Gladstone, also on Wednesday.

Wins by both the Ravens and Colts will set the stage for a semi-final encounter on Feb. 27 at the Olympic Oval.

Rounding out the Richmond entries are the No. 8 Steveston-London Sharks who will host No. 9 Prince of Wales on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. A win would put the Sharks up against No. 1 Charles Tupper on Wednesday.

Consolation games Friday will determine what four teams will join the quarter-final winners when the championships shift to the Oval for the final three days. Four provincial berths are up for grabs with the final slated for Friday, Mar. 1.

Meanwhile, the McRoberts Strikers and RC Palmer Griffins have play-in games on Friday for the Lower Mainland AA Championships. They hope to join the Hugh Boyd Trojans and Cambie Crusaders when the main draw starts on Feb. 25 at the Oval.
