Expensive movie tickets can deter moviegoers, but the Richmond Olympic Experience theatre is offering a series of Marvel’s Avengers films at a cheap rate in November.
The 44-seat theatre will screen four different Avengers films starting Nov. 1.
Shows will be every Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 4 p.m. with tickets going for $2 for members and $5 for non-members – this includes D-Box seats.
“The Marvel film series is an initiative for the Richmond community,” said Brianna Fee, program manager at the Richmond Olympic Oval, adding that the theatre is screening films that are “universally loved in an elevated ‘D-Box’ experience for a minimal cost.”
“(People) may have seen the Marvel films on the big screen, but this is an opportunity to relive the films in a community setting in D-Box seats.”
Fee added that visitors not only come for their film series, but to also get a chance to explore the Richmond Olympic Oval.
Visitors of the Richmond Olympic Experience are welcomed by a short film titled Pursuit of a Dream, which profiles athletes’ training and accomplishments.
And there are sport simulators, interactive challenges and artifacts like torches and medals from the previous Olympic Games.
