TransLink is making its Compass technology smaller and smaller.

The transit authority has now launch the Compass Mini, which looks just like a small Compass Card that attaches to keychains and backpacks.

“The launch of Compass Mini is a part of our commitment to enhance the customer experience,” said TransLink CEO Kevin Desmond, in a news release. “Compass Wristbands have been a real hit and I’m sure customers will enjoy the convenience and practicality of the new Compass Mini.”

Compass Mini works the same as the Compass Card and Compass Wristband; tap in and out when travelling on transit and reload online, at a Compass vending machine, by phone, or in person. Just like any other Compass product, there is a $6 refundable deposit when purchasing your Mini.

TransLink is releasing 5,000 blue adult Minis and 2,500 orange concession Minis starting Friday, Dec. 6.

Visit the Compass Customer Service Centre at Stadium–Chinatown Station (Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, December 7, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) or the West Coast Express Office in Waterfront Station (Monday - Friday 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m.) to pick up a Mini while supplies last.
