Letters: Why can't we be so civil in the good times?

Dear Editor,

I am pleasantly surprised to see how well businesses have adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Particularly those still open for people to go inside. The way they are implementing social distancing and controlling how many people enter a space is great.

I have also noticed how well behaved people can be when they choose to be. Whether it’s part of a line outside a bank, grocery store, or the Canada Line, people generally seem to understand these measures are in place for the protection of all and are behaving as adults should.

It makes me wonder why we cannot also be civil in the good times.

I want to thank those who not only have to deal with their regular duties at work, but also need to make sure social distancing is enforced.

A big thank you as well to all from Richmond on the front lines. Though we are isolated we can still spread positivity by calling a friend or family member and checking up on them. After all, love is all you need.
