Dear Editor,

Re: Not fun driving in Richmond, Letters, Feb. 21, 2019

I totally agree with Hank Myra’s letter sent to this paper in regards to it’s too dangerous driving in Richmond streets.

The city government should strictly enforce speeding, driving through yellow lights, making illegal U-turns and to include too slow driving on main thoroughfares. Increasing violation tickets probably stops traffic violators.

A few years ago, I sent a comment to the City of Richmond in regards to the Lansdowne Road and Kwantlen Street intersection, as heavy traffic going into Lansdowne Mall and into the Kwantlen Polytechnic University makes it hard to get through.

The city had (dismissed) my concern.

I have seen a few accidents happen in this area. I hope a traffic lights will be installed for vehicular as well as pedestrian traffic safety.
