Historically I’ve been furious when I see people running a red light.
You know the ones, the light goes yellow and they speed up to get through or just cruise through as it turns red.
For the past eight weeks I’ve been travelling much more within Richmond. While these people still irritate me and I can’t condone their driving, I have a little bit of understanding.
After you’ve hit six red lights in a row, I can see why frustration causes some people to take extra liberties with the yellow/red light on the seventh signal.
I will just sit a little longer when my light turns green to avoid getting involved with their frustration.
But, of course, that just slows traffic down more.
