Dear Editor,

Canada’s former attorney general and minister of justice, Jody Wilson-Raybould has been treated very harshly by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Liberal caucus.

All she was trying to do was ensure that any kind of interference in our justice system was deemed not appropriate.

Canadians pride themselves on the fact our judiciary is totally independent and free from any kind of political control. Jody Wilson–Raybould was upholding that reality.

She deserves the Order of Canada for standing up for truth. I would like to commend her for standing her ground and being firm in her conviction.

We need more courageous political leaders like her.
