Dear Editor,
One cannot help but wonder if Canada is one of the few countries where you can run for the mayor of a city while being investigated by the Law Society of BC for the misplacement of millions of dollars. Or, an incumbent school trustee can run for another term when she mistook the voting of an important school district policy as a vote for the adjournment of a meeting....and then claim she made a mistake.
People, please pay close attention to the upcoming election. This is your voice for the future of Richmond. Do not vote for a name just because you recognize it. Get out and attend the all-candidates meeting — city council and school board. And make sure you understand and agree with the candidates’ platforms. Richmond’s future is in your hands.
