Letter: A signage suggestion for Richmond

Dear Editor, Every time we have an election — be it federal, provincial or civic — someone gets upset about the campaign signs. Either they’re put up where they’re not wanted or not allowed, they vanish or even get defaced.

Dear Editor,

Every time we have an election — be it federal, provincial or civic — someone gets upset about the campaign signs.

Either they’re put up where they’re not wanted or not allowed, they vanish or even get defaced.

Why can’t we display our election signs the way they do in some European countries, by having all of them mounted together on large, metal frameworks, set up in appropriate public locations, for instance near the polling places? This way, the signs don’t clutter up the urban landscape, don’t get blown over by the wind and don’t van-ish.
