Richmond residents will see traffic delays along Gilbert Road at Granville Avenue with ongoing sewage upgrades.

Traffic on Gilbert Road is down to one lane in both directions along with no left or right turns when going southbound at the intersection.

Construction is expected to continue throughout the next two months at this intersection with no specific end date.

The City of Richmond – which tweeted the warning Monday lunchtime - recommends the public “avoid the intersection and to always obey road signs and traffic personnel(s)” on site.

According to the tweet, the new sewer line will “serve (Richmond’s) future growth and minimize sewer-related issues.”
