A major police incident was the talk of a west Richmond neighbourhood Saturday evening.

Around 5:30 p.m., residents in the area of Winchelsea Crescent, near Quilchena Golf and Country Club, noticed up to five police vehicles, two ambulances and a fire truck on the scene.

A few hours later, at least two police cars and another emergency service vehicle were still at the scene outside a single-family home.

“It seems there has been a fairly serious police incident,” said an area resident to the Richmond News on Saturday night.

However, the News understands from police that the incident involved a death that had no suspicious circumstances.
