The tragic death of father Jay Greenwood, a 46-year-old Victoria-based contractor, will breathe new life into many others.

Sister Adrienne Greenwood confirmed Greenwood had previously agreed to provide his organs for those in need.

“He was so loved and there will be a hole in our family that can never be filled,” said Adrienne.

Greenwood died at Extreme Air Park, a trampoline facility in Richmond, on Jan. 20.

The tragic event took place in front of his two daughters.

Family and friends have now set up a Change.org fundraiser for his children.

“Jay's final great gift was that of life to someone else with his heart of gold,” noted friend Adam.

A website dedicated to Greenwood describes his character:

“We lost one of the biggest hearted and most selfless people his family and friends has ever know this week. Jay was notoriously sarcastic and had the kind of sense of humor to ignite a whole room in laughter which he did frequently.

“He was looked up to by many people and helped unconditionally whenever he could which was pretty much always. To say he was a great father would be a huge understatement as he was the kind of father figure that many of us aspire to be with the unconditional love of his two amazing daughters and the respect of all of us who are raising our own. He had it down.”
