Teresa Wat has been sworn in for a third term as BC Liberal MLA for Richmond North Centre.

Wat was sworn in as one of 28 BC Liberal MLAs across the province, who will make up the Official Opposition, in a virtual ceremony Friday morning.

“I am excited to hold the NDP government accountable to their promises to expand Richmond Hospital, replace the Massey Tunnel, provide support to businesses and those in need struggling under the pandemic, and make life more affordable in Richmond by addressing skyrocketing strata insurance premiums and auto insurance rates,” said Wat.

Critic portfolios will be announced in the coming days, according to a statement from the BC Liberal Caucus.

Richmond’s three new NDP MLAs were sworn in during a largely-virtual ceremony on Tuesday.
