Richmond-Steveston Liberal MLA John Yap will be co-hosting a town hall Friday, April 17, on B.C.’s COVID-19 epidemic.
He will be joined by Bowinn Ma, BC NDP MLA for North Vancouver-Lonsdale, as well Vancouver Coastal Health’s CEO, Mary Ackenhusen and Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Patricia Daly, who will be available to answer questions about the coronavirus.
The event will be live-streamed on the province’s YouTube and Facebook pages from 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Questions may be submitted ahead of time on the government’s website.
Questions can also be submitted during the event by commenting on the Facebook live-stream. The YouTube live-stream will be for viewing only.
The event is the first in a series organized by the provincial government, with one town hall in each of B.C.’s five health authority regions. All of the events will feature the medical officer and CEO of the local health authority, and will be co-hosted by two local government and opposition MLAs.
