Richmond Mounties investigating reports of shots being fired

Late Monday night, Richmond RCMP were called to Parry Street, near Cabot Drive, after receiving reports of shots being fired shortly before midnight. Two vehicles were found parked at a residence with damage that appeared to be from gunfire.

Late Monday night, Richmond RCMP were called to Parry Street, near Cabot Drive, after receiving reports of shots being fired shortly before midnight.

Two vehicles were found parked at a residence with damage that appeared to be from gunfire. One individual, known to police, was also found in the area but is currently not cooperating with authorities.

Investigators have been on scene since early Tuesday morning going through evidence. It is believed the victim was targeted.

“We are very concerned with this overt display of violence and the blatant disregard for public safety,” said Cpl. Dennis Hwang in a press release.

“Our General Investigation Section has been deployed and is actively investigating this matter. We urge the community to remain vigilant and ask that you report any suspicious persons or vehicles to police immediately.”
