Database

The past 19 years of council meeting minutes with voting records are now searchable on the City of Richmond’s website.

The Council Decisions Database with around 12,000 entries has been made available to the public whereby they can search open council meetings, public hearings and standing committee meetings dating back to the year 2000.

Users can search by keyword or phrase, refine searches by date and browse by subject, name or committee. The results can be saved, emailed or printed for future reference.

Once a search result is obtained, users can link directly from the database search results list to the relevant minutes and reports on the city’s website.

Information in the database dates from the year 2000 onwards and is regularly kept up-to-date.

Council also voted this year to have its voting record posted electronically. This database includes information about who voted against a given motion.

The database is available at www.richmond.ca/councildecisions.
