An earlier multi-vehicle accident at the northbound, south end of the Oak Street Bridge has been cleared, but drivers heading out of Richmond are advised to expect delays due to heavy congestion.

The accident happened just before 7 a.m. this morning and has been slowing down the commute ever since, leaving traffic down to one lane. Traffic is currently backed up to Steveston Highway.

But once the commute’s over, Richmondites can look forward to temperatures up to 19 degrees from today through Saturday as well as some sunshine to break up the clouds.

Rain is set to return Sunday.
