A recent survey by a workforce data firm suggests a solid chunk of employers in Richmond and Delta will hire new people this fall.
About 20 per cent of employers surveyed in Richmond and Delta told Manpower Group they were planning to hire people between October and December. The majority of businesses surveyed said they were planning to keep current staffing levels, and only three per cent said they were anticipating cutbacks.
“[It’s] indicating an optimistic hiring pace for the upcoming months,” said Richard Plumb, manager of Manpower’s Vancouver branch.
The survey also suggested bilingual candidates and those who work in the skilled trades are especially in demand.
