Richmond youth looking for a job in the city can now apply to over 200 positions for the summer.

Every year, the Canadian government helps fund thousands of summer jobs across the country. In the past, these jobs were only available to students, however, this year, all youth between the ages of 15 and 30 who can work in Canada are welcome to apply.

"Canada's young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are leaders today," said Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour in a press release.

"That's why our government, through Canada Summer Jobs, is focused on ensuring more young Canadians can access the paid, meaningful work experience they need to succeed in our changing economy."

In Richmond, there is a wide range of position available, from working with non-profits, to schools, to jobs in technology, health care and with religious organizations.

There are thousands of other opportunities outside of Richmond throughout Metro Vancouver as well.
