A Vancouver woman who’s desperate to be reunited with her missing pup is asking people in Richmond to keep an eye out for him after a possible sighting near Lansdowne and No 3 roads Friday.
“I’m just so worried about him,” Jocelyn Aspa told the Richmond News. “You don’t ever want you dog to be out there like that. You rescue them for a reason.”
Littlefoot, a rescue dog from Thailand, joined Aspa’s family in September. She was immediately drawn to him when she saw him online because the Land Before Time was her favourite movie series growing up.
On Dec. 2, her boyfriend Mike took Littlefoot for a walk while he was home alone. Mike has epilepsy, and a seizure struck while he was out with the dog near Prince Edward Street and East 10th Avenue.
When he came out of the seizure, Littlefoot was gone.
Friends I need your help: I am currently out of town on my way back to Vancouver. Mike had a seizure when he was out with Littlefoot and now he is missing. I won’t be back in town until 4, please if you see Littlefoot PLEASE let me know. Last seen around Prince Edward and 11th: pic.twitter.com/ZDoBX2it9P

Sixteen days later, Aspa is still leading a dogged search for her pet. She’s been buoyed by sightings in Vancouver, including one by animal control, before Littlefoot apparently darted down to Richmond.
She’s hired a detective from Petsearchers Canada, named Al, who rushed to Richmond after the sighting Friday. He scoured the area, and saw a German shepherd that he thought might be Littlefoot before realizing it was a false alarm.
Aspa said Littlefoot could still be in Richmond or could have backtracked to Vancouver. She’s asking people to keep an eye out, especially under their porches.
“He shouldn’t be approached,” she told the Richmond News. “He’s very skittish. He’s a very nervous dog. It’s been two weeks, and he’s in survival mode.”
If you think you see Littlefoot, Aspa asks that you call her at 604-805-4670.
