A driver in Costco’s parking lot smashed into two cars and damaged a fourth, after apparently suffering a medical emergency.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, the man is understood to have driven into the parking lot from Great Canadian Way before ramming into two parked cars.

According to a customer in the parking lot, who only wanted to be called Ofra, a fourth car was then shunted out of its parking spot by the collision.

She was told by a member of staff at Costco that the driver had suffered some kind of medical emergency prior to the crash.

It’s not clear whether any of the parked cars had anyone in them at the time of the collision.

The Richmond News has reached out to the BC Ambulance Service for more details.
