COVID-19 outbreak now over at Richmond long-term care facility

The COVID-19 outbreak at a long-term care facility in Richmond is now over. Restrictions at Richmond Lions Manor – Bridgeport were lifted Tuesday, Aug. 18, according to an outbreak bulletin posted to Vancouver Coastal Health’s website.

There is a new outbreak of COVID-19 at Richmond Lions Manor Bridgeport, a long-term Care Facility.

The COVID-19 outbreak at a long-term care facility in Richmond is now over.

Restrictions at Richmond Lions Manor – Bridgeport were lifted Tuesday, Aug. 18, according to an outbreak bulletin posted to Vancouver Coastal Health’s website.

Outbreak protocols had been in place at Richmond Lions Manor since Aug. 5, after a single staff member tested positive for COVID-19. According to VCH's bulletin, the outbreak was detected on the second floor of the facility. 

The Ministry of Health confirmed to the Richmond News that no other staff or residents at the facility – at 9020 Bridgeport Road near Great Canadian Way – contracted the virus.
