Canada Post workers have announced that they have started rotating strikes in multiple cities. However, while mail delivery may be delayed, it won't be stoppped completely.

In response to a possible strike, the City of Richmond began making preparations in September as many city departments mail information, notices, bills and payments to residents and customers.

Even though mail delivery may be delayed, the city is reminding residents that licenses, permits, parking tickets, dog licenses, business license renewals and grants are still expected to be paid on time and there are several online payment options on the city’s website, or payments are accepted in person at City Hall during business hours.

Suppliers and customers of the city can arrange for direct deposits of payments rather than cheques, if required.

For more information on payment options, visit the city’s website.

As of Monday, rotating strikes were planned in Victoria, Edmonton, Windsor and Halifax.
