No one was hurt and those in the vehicles were off to the side exchanging information when two more vehicles slammed into the initial crash.

Police say the 47-year-old resident of Salmon Arm who stopped to offer assistance was pronounced dead at the scene.

A driver and passenger from the first collision were seriously hurt and flown by air ambulance to hospital, while four others were taken to hospital by ambulance and are in stable condition.
