Drivers might want to think twice about trying to negotiate through the centre of Richmond this Friday afternoon.
Roadworks taking place on No. 3 Road, just north of Ackroyd Road, is causing traffic to back up all the way south past Westminster Highway.
Around 1 p.m., several cars trying to turn left onto No. 3's northbound lane were stuck in the middle of the intersection with Westminster Highway, essentially blocking westbound and eastbound traffic.
And the scene isn't much better at No. 3 and Ackroyd roads, with drivers also apparently struggling to understand that they shouldn't be entering an intersection unless you can clear it.
