Attention all pancake lovers, this Tuesday, Richmond’s IHOP will serve diners a free short stack of pancakes, all to raise funds for a good cause.

March 12 is National Pancake Day, and IHOP visitors will be invited to make a donation in support of BC Children’s Hospital throughout the day.

“Heading to your local IHOP and participating in National Pancake Day is an easy, fun and delicious way to support health care for B.C.’s kids,” said Melissa Swindells, philanthropy officer at BC Children’s Hospital Foundation in a press release.

“The generosity of IHOP and the public over the years has made a real difference for BC Children’s, and we know that together, we’ll make an even bigger impact this year.”

All donations made on National Pancake Day will go directly to support the hospital’s most urgent needs. Last year, the pancake house gave away more than 20,000 pancakes and raised over $50,000 for BC Children’s Hospital. This year, IHOP hopes to raise $60,000.

The offer includes one free short stack of buttermilk pancakes per person between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Richmond’s IHOP is located at 6780 No. 3 Rd., near Richmond Centre.
