The classic summer experience of running through the sprinkler or spraying each other with a hose is about to get even more epic.

Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services will use ladder trucks to create “instant water parks” for residents living in three neighbourhoods this evening.

The trucks will be at Coopers’ Park (1020 Marinaside Crescent), Walter Moberly Elementary School (1000 East 59th Ave.) and Kerrisdale Park (5670 East Blvd.) from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The hot weather continues with a high of 28 C forecast for Vancouver today and Environment Canada’s heat warning remains in effect for Coastal B.C.

Saturday is expected to be cooler in Vancouver with a chance of showers and temperatures reaching a high of 21 C.
