In less than two weeks, Fright Nights is returning to Playland for another season of spooktacular surprises and thrilling rides.

The annual affair is synonymous with fall in the Lower Mainland, as Playland turns over its cheery summertime feel for a more creepy decor. Now, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy bone-chilling festivities on select nights from Oct. 5 to Oct. 31.

Not only will they have the chance to enjoy over 20 stomach-dropping rides, gripping live shows, eight haunted houses and much more!

And, while those attractions are spooky enough, there is going to be an entire cast of creepers running around waiting to scare unassuming guests. You might run into Jason, with his creepy hockey mask, or even Freddy from Nightmare on Elm Street with his terrifying face and long, razor-sharp claws.

The haunted houses are terrifying, and this year’s line-up is especially disturbing.

Introduced last year, the dilapidated Bloodshed cabin is home to a family of ruthless mutant murders. For those seeking a paranormal experience, the Haunted Mansion promises thrills and chills not for the faint-of-heart, while the 3D experience of Car-n-Evil will leave guests with all the requisite symptoms of panic, terror and dread.

If you still feel like you won’t be scared, a whole assortment of creepy dolls is sure to put you in a state of terror. The Keepers Doll Factory features a line-up of cloaked giants covered in scars, porcelain doll faces and missing appendages. What’s more, these hellish creatures roam the halls in search of human sacrifices from which they can harvest limbs – yikes!

For those who don’t enjoy waiting in long lines (because who does?), there’s the Rapid Pass. This handy pass offers the same access as a regular gate pass PLUS access to an expedited line for park entry, each haunted house and The Beast, Wooden Roller Coaster, Music Express, AtmosFEAR, and Hellevator.

Guests also save $3 by purchasing tickets at participating 7-Eleven locations or online.

Admission includes unlimited access to all eight haunted houses, shows and 20 rides. (There is an additional charge for the Revelation).
