Registered Holistic Nutritionist Orsha Magyar will talk about nutrition and the body on the second floor of the Brighouse Richmond Public Library branch Sept. 8 at 7 p.m.

The program, Optimum Health and Wellness: The Blood Sugar Connection, discusses blood sugar and how it affects the human body.

Participants learn the signs and symptoms of low blood sugar and its importance.

They will also better understand the consequences of low blood sugar and how it relates to weight gain and diabetes as well as common myths about carbohydrates.

Magyar holds a Master of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Psychology from the University of British Columbia.

She obtained her regis-tration from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition.

Magyar currently teaches courses in the Registered Holistic Nutrition program at the school.

She also opened NeuroTrition, a nutritional consulting firm, where she works with her clients to create individualized diet, supplement and lifestyle programs.
