The sun will bring the heat to Vancouver, B.C., soon.

While Vancouver has had a cool spring and plenty of grey days recently, it looks like a good streak of summer weather is coming this week.

It'll start off fairly nice, according to the Environment Canada forecast. On Monday, June 20, a cloudy morning is expected to clear up later in the day, bringing a sunny afternoon. A high of 20 C will mean a fairly warm day, though a low of 11 C is expected at night.

Tuesday will be similar with a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day and a high of 21 C. Overnight more clouds are expected to roll in, and a low of 14 C is expected.

Wednesday is predicted to be the cloudiest day of the week, with a high of 21 C and 30 per cent chance of showers, meaning a warm, damp day. The forecast for later in the day sees those clouds breaking up as a precursor to the summery weather coming.

Thursday is likely to be the coolest day of the week, with a high of 19 C. However, it's also expected to be sunny the whole day, with a low of 12 C during a cloudless night.

Friday will see the heat beginning to arrive, with another sunny day and a high of 22 C. Further inland, the high could go higher, according to Environment Canada, peaking at 26 C.

That trend is expected to continue into the weekend with Saturday, June 25 forecast to hit 23 C as the areas sees three straight days of sunny, clear skies.
