Chrystia Freeland, Minister of Foreign Affairs, dropped by for a chat with Liberal candidate Steven Kou on Monday.

There will be four advanced voting days centred around the Thanksgiving Day weekend – on Friday, Oct. 11, Saturday, Oct. 12, Sunday, Oct. 13 and Monday, Oct. 14. Polling stations are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and voters need to go to their assigned polling station.

Voter information cards are in the mail and should be arriving by Oct. 4. This will include information about where you can vote in advance or type in your postal code into the Voter Information Service.

Voters must either show one piece of government identification or two other pieces of identification, for example, voter information card and a bank statement or a utility bill and a student id card.

However, voters who don’t have identification can declare their identity and address in writing and have someone they know, who is assigned to the same polling station, vouch for them.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs popped in to see Richmond Centre Liberal candidate Chrystia Freeland on Tuesday, according to a post on Wechat.
