A pair of turtles were caught lounging on what appears to be a wooden structure in Steveston Sunday afternoon.

Long-time Richmond resident, Alistair Clare, was out for a quick walk around Gary Point when he spotted the turtles sunbathing in the ponds near the dike trail.

Clare submitted the photo to the Richmond News saying that "it's been awhile since he has seen turtles in Richmond."

"I still get excited when I see them," said Clare, adding that turtles were commonly seen at Minoru Park and the Richmond Nature Park in the past.
